About

Sparkmarke

A small senior team that stays on the account.

Sparkmarke exists because the split between the people who design the website and the people who market it is the single most expensive gap in this industry.

(How we think)

Five things we will not do.

  1. We will not sell you a rebuild you do not need.

The audit comes first and it is honest. Several times a year we tell a prospect their site is fine and the problem is their offer. That conversation costs us a project and earns us a referral.

  2. We will not report on impressions.

Reach is not a business outcome. Every report we send leads with cost per qualified lead and pipeline, because that is the number your CFO asks about.

  3. We will not hold your accounts hostage.

Everything is built in your accounts under your ownership. Leaving us should be administratively boring. If an agency makes leaving hard, that tells you what they think of the work.

  4. We will not ship a site that fails on a phone.

Most of your traffic is mobile on an imperfect connection. A design that only works on a 27-inch monitor over office wifi is a portfolio piece, not a business asset.

  5. We will not hand you to a junior after signing.

The team in the pitch is the team on the work. We stay deliberately small so that promise costs us nothing to keep.

(Who you work with)

Four people. No account managers.

Every one of them will be in your Slack channel.

Ada Reyes

Design director

Fifteen years designing for products that have to convert, not just present. Owns positioning and art direction.

Milo Tran

Engineering lead

Builds the front end and refuses to ship anything that fails Core Web Vitals on a mid-range Android.

Sofia Okafor

Growth lead

Runs paid and organic together, which is the only way either of them actually works.

Jonah Vance

Analytics lead

Makes the measurement trustworthy before anyone is allowed to draw a conclusion from it.

(Track record)

How we got here.

  1. 2019

    Two people and one client

Started as a design studio taking overflow work from a larger agency.

  2. 2021

    Brought marketing in-house

Too many good sites underperformed because someone else was buying the traffic. So we started buying it.

  3. 2023

    Retainers overtook projects

Ongoing work passed one-off builds as most of revenue. The model settled into what it is now.

  4. 2026

    Four people, nine time zones

Still deliberately small. Still no account managers between you and the work.
